STUDIO G
(Predecessor firm to Sculpt Architects)

The offices for Studio G were designed to support the needs of a young growing architecture firm. Part of a larger tenant improvement that bifurcated the ground floor of this mixed-use building, the space occupied by Studio G was challenged by a small entry area that served as the only exterior window and source for natural light.

In an effort to take advantage of this asset to the greatest degree possible, Sculpt Architects elected to create a two-sided, full height glazed entry that allowed ambient light to enter the conference and entry areas of the space. White walls ensured that light traveled to the interior portion of the open office, while clean detailing reinforced the modernist quality of the space. Wood doors and countertops, carefully procured textiles, and a diminutive interior koi pond dampened acoustics and softened the visual “edge” that the space naturally possessed.
